The passage to Melbourne … and shopping

For years friends have told us — and we’ve seen oodles of pictures — of the wonderful natural monuments along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road. Having left Portland and Port Fairy behind, we start to encounter them with this beauty (above) known as London Bridge.

Next we motored into the tiny village of Port Campbell (below) and stopped for coffee and cake at the Waves cafe bar and restaurant.

Then we were upon the Twelve Apostles, the main event. And despite harrowing and depressing news reports that the Apostles are disappearing into the ocean — which they are — we were heartened to learn that other apostles are appearing and coming on the scene to take their place. Neat nature!
